A dog’s love for her outdoor swimming pool has charmed social media viewers.
Grace, a golden retriever, has become a viral sensation thanks to a TikTok video showcasing her playful antics in her owner’s swimming pool. The footage, posted on June 11 by her owner under the username @itsmethatmom, has amassed over 7.3 million views.
The short video captures Grace standing in the pool at her home in Nova Scotia, Canada. Despite appearing cold, she is reluctant to leave. As her owner narrates, Grace’s true intention is revealed when she swims further into the water, seemingly inviting her owner to join her despite the chilly temperature.
The owner commented, “I know she looks pathetic, like she’s shivering and she wants to get out, but watch what she makes me do. It’s still a bit too cold for me, so I am not going in the pool. Come on out, Grace. I’ll help you, but then she does this because she wants me to get into the pool with her.”
Grace, who is 2 years old, had been in a car accident and suffers from arthritis, which raised concerns among viewers about her remaining in the water.
However, golden retrievers are known for their love of water, a trait rooted in their history as hunting and retrieving dogs. This affinity for swimming not only showcases their natural behavior but also provides excellent exercise, keeping them healthy and active.
Grace’s antics have delighted viewers worldwide, with over 2,200 users sharing their amused reactions.

The viewers’ sentiments echoed those of Grace’s owner, who captioned the post, “little prankster.”
